"But my wrist is too big"... "I can't wear watches under 40 mm"... Such arguments are often heard. Despite the truth in these claims, there are models of classic watches with interesting proportions worth considering. The Swedish brand Anders & Co has significantly simplified this choice. At the end of last year, we looked at their elegant AC2 Volcán model with magnificent dials made of natural stone. Now the brand has expanded the collection with new options, let's explore them.

Features of the AC2 Volcán Case and Its Ergonomics

The proportions of the AC2 Volcán case make these watches particularly comfortable and versatile. The case is made of 316L stainless steel, has a cushion shape, and a width of 37 mm. Short lugs ensure a lug-to-lug length of only 44.6 mm. This means that despite the relatively small size, the watch is suitable for medium and large wrists. The case thickness is only 5.65 mm, providing a slim profile and comfort even on slimmer wrists.

The build quality is high: all surfaces are carefully polished, and the front glass is made of sapphire with anti-reflective coating. These features make the model suitable for daily use. Water resistance is 30 meters thanks to a snap-on case back. While this limitation may seem a drawback, in today's world, where many watches are designed for extreme conditions, it gives the model a certain character and emphasizes its classic status.

New Dial Variants: Classic and Exotic

For the latest release, Anders & Co introduced three new dial variants. The first models with stone dials were quite expressive, so for variety, the brand offered a pair of classic monochrome options - black and white, as well as a more exotic option, which we will discuss in more detail.

• The black dial is made of polished black onyx, which gives depth and color richness unattainable by other materials.
• The white dial is made of white porcelain. Both options are equipped with matte dauphine-style hands and applied baton hour markers, providing simplicity, classic style, and modern finish.

The third dial deviates from the classic and offers a more current solution. Standard green watches are outdated, so Anders & Co chose a rich green malachite with bright stripes unique to each piece. This dial is complemented by polished Arabic Eastern numerals, giving the model uniqueness and appeal to collectors.

Movement and Technical Specifications

Beneath the dial is a Japanese quartz movement Miyota 9T22. It not only reduces the cost of the watch but also, thanks to its ultra-thin profile, helps maintain the compact size of the case. Like most watches in this segment, the model lacks a second hand, making it indistinguishable at first glance from mechanical watches and maintaining the convenience of "set and forget."

The movement's reliability is high, ensuring stable operation and accuracy for about two years without needing a battery replacement. Each watch comes with a natural leather strap embossed with crocodile texture and a stainless steel clasp with branded engraving. This choice emphasizes the elegance of the dial without drawing attention away.
