There are not many iconic watches entirely dedicated to women, but the Breguet Reine de Naples is one of them. Named after Caroline Murat, the younger sister of Napoleon I of France and Queen of Naples (Reine de Naples in French), they pay homage to watches designed by Abraham-Louis Breguet with significant historical importance as they are considered the first wristwatches. Instantly recognizable by their oval shape, the brand has created numerous watches under this name, and today presents a new pair of watches with a refined aesthetic, thanks to the delicate snow-set diamond bezel. Introducing the new Breguet Reine de Naples 8938 models.

Available in either white gold with a light blue strap or rose gold with an orange strap, the new Reine de Naples collection utilizes the brand's signature oval case, which is quite large at 36.5 mm x 28.45 mm. Classically executed with an elegant fluted caseback, these new references 8938 are primarily distinguished by the extensive use of diamonds around the entire perimeter. The bezel, dial flange, and lug are adorned with 161 round-cut diamonds (approximately 1.82 carats), and the crown features a rare briolette-cut diamond. In total, over three carats of diamonds illuminate these precious watches.

For the dial of these new Breguet Reine de Naples 8938 watches, the brand chose a special technique known as "snow setting." It is much more complex than traditional concentric setting because stones of different sizes are used to cover the dial, minimizing the visibility of the material on which they are set. This deceptively random arrangement of stones achieves unmatched brilliance. Breguet completes the Reine de Naples 8938 dial with an off-centered white mother-of-pearl hour ring at the "6 o'clock" position, classic Breguet numerals, and blued moon-tipped hands.

These watches are not just a beautiful, fashionable face, as beneath the sapphire caseback beats a true Breguet engine, the caliber 537/3 with automatic winding, featuring a silicon escape wheel, Swiss lever, and balance spring. This movement with a frequency of 3.5 Hz is wound by a guilloché platinum rotor and offers a 45-hour power reserve.

These new additions to the Breguet Reine de Naples collection, ref. 8938BB/8D/964 DD0D in white gold with a blue strap and ref. 8938BR/8D/964 DD0D in rose gold with an orange strap, also feature a gold three-petal folding clasp set with 28 round-cut diamonds. They are available in boutiques and retail stores. Price on request.
